What’s In Aviva’s Camera Bag?

I was a Canon girl from the beginning…. my first SLR was a Canon Digital Rebel 300D, back when they first came out. The progression was 300D, 20D, 40D, 5D, 1D Mark III – and right now I love my 5D Mark II! I got the first one on Okinawa and it is definitely the best camera I’ve ever owned. Lenses in my 7 Million Dollar Crumpler Bag at this time (not all at once!):

  • 35mm f1.4 L
  • 85mm f1.2 L
  • 135mm f2.0 L
  • 16-35mm f2.8 L
  • 24-70mm f2.8 L
  • 70-200mm f2.8 L
  • 100-400mm f4.5-f5.6 L
  • 15mm Fisheye

If you’re asking, my wish list now includes a 100mm 2.8 macro, a tilt & shift, and a second camera body – not sure yet what that’ll be. I buy just about everything camera-related at B&H Photo, who has, hands-down, the best customer service in the world. I bought the 5D Mark II at Kitamura which is on route 58 next door to McDonald’s across from Camp Foster. I don’t buy lenses there because they’re much too expensive, but camera bodies are comparable to US prices; depending on the yen rate, of course. And then you don’t have to pay to insure and ship them. I also own a Shoot Sac (thank you, Jessica Claire) for on-the run sessions. A 580 EX II external flash. Several memory cards, an OpTech USA strap, and an Expo Disc for when I have time to set a custom white balance. Other random wish list stuff: a second monitor,  someone to organize my office and make it pretty, and more time to edit stuff that I shoot for FUN. Enough camera equipment fantasizing, it’s time to write another blog post I’m sure. Later.
